After the inevitable ups and downs of the events industry, from the challenging years of the Corona pandemic to market fluctuations, demand for our interactive sessions is now greater than ever.
We are investing heavily in the future to provide conferences and corporate events across Europe with the ultimate energizers, icebreakers, and teambuilding sessions for companies.

To manage this increase of requests effectively, and to ensure we continue making an impact for the next 25 years, we are looking for talented new team members.
We provide inhouse training through an intensive, proven program.

What does a Drum Cafe Facilitator do?

As a facilitator, you are much more than just a musician.
Whether you are standing in front of an intimate executive team of 8 top managers or in a stadium filled with 14.000 people, you are the one who energizes the room.
You create a vibrant atmosphere, using the power of rhythm as a metaphor for collaboration, connection, and leadership.

Your Profile

We are looking for candidates who possess a unique combination of musical expertise, group dynamic skills, and presentation talent:

• Musical & Rhythmic Mastery: You have a strong sense of rhythm.
  You can simplify rhythms so that people with no musical background can join in immediately and experience success.
  If the group loses the beat, you instantly take musical charge to get everyone back in sync.
• Group Dynamics & Facilitation: You know how to safely guide people out of their comfort zones.
  You ensure inclusivity so that absolutely everyone participates, regardless of their hierarchical position within a company, and you can adapt your style fluidly to different group sizes.
• Entertainment & Presentation: You radiate charisma and high energy.
  You use spontaneous humor to break down barriers and possess impeccable timing, allowing you to sense when the audience is peaking or when a moment of calm is needed.
• Conceptual Insight & Tailoring: You can seamlessly link the interactive drum session to the client’s theme or business goals (such as collaboration, listening to one another, or leadership) and adapt flexibly to the specific type of event.

The Training Program

We shape your talent into that of a fully fledged professional facilitator through a structured step-by-step plan:

• Step 1: Observing & Assisting
  • Phase A: You start at the front to observe how the dynamics work, how the participants reacts, and how tension is built during an interactive session.
  • Phase B: You step onto the stage to play along and experience the energy and humor from the back.
• Step 2: Mastery & Developing Your Own Identity
  • Coaching: You receive direct 1-on-1 training from Patrick Tromp, the most experienced and entertaining facilitator at Drum Cafe Europe 😊.
  • Your own twist: The goal is not to copy his humor or approach 100%. Patrick provides the framework and tools, but you use your own creativity to develop a personal style.
  • The principles of pacing: You learn to manage the perfect dramatic arc: from the introduction (setting the tone) through the middle section (deepening interaction) to the ultimate climax (an explosive, high-energy release).
• Step 3: Leading Independently & Scaling Up
  • The start: You begin by independently leading small groups and handling relatively simple, straightforward assignments.
  • The growth: As your confidence grows, you scale up, eventually facilitating large, complex international conferences across Europe.
