DRUM CAFE & World Tree Fund: Best of both worlds…

By working together with West African artists, we get to know more and more about the living conditions of people in West Africa.

A worldwide problem is the impact that the felling of trees has on the living environment. During our visit in Senegal this was clearly visible and tangible. The cutting itself is difficult to stop because the wood is used for all kinds of (daily) supplies. The locals often lack knowledge and resources to take action against tree-cutting and for replanting the cultivated area.

We as Drum Cafe, want to give something back to all the riches that we use from Africa.

The drums we’ve ordered in Africa have brought us a lot. However, African culture offers us so much more. The oldest way of (group) communication is to convey emotions through age-old rhythms, song and dance.

As a company but also as a private individual, you can support the ‘maternity ward’ of the local tree nursery.
